Our Period Delay Service provides a safe, pharmacist-led option to postpone your period for up to 17 days. This is ideal for holidays, weddings, sporting events, exams, or any occasion where having your period would be inconvenient.
During a private consultation, our pharmacist will review your medical history, current medications, and contraceptive method to ensure suitability. If appropriate, you'll receive a prescription for norethisterone tablets — a synthetic progesterone that keeps your hormone levels steady and prevents menstruation.
This service is designed for occasional use only and is not suitable as a regular contraceptive method. Norethisterone is generally safe for short-term use, with possible mild side effects including nausea, breast tenderness, tiredness, and headaches. It is not suitable for women taking progesterone-only contraceptive pills.
